Does your business website make ADA compliance attorneys smile because they see their next lawsuit target?
ADA Online Solutions is the compliance advocate for businesses of every size, from single-location shops to national enterprises. We find the gaps a screen-reader user hits on your site, and we close them — fast.
The ADA is the Federal Law that Requires many Businesses Serving the Public to provide Equal Access to their Goods and Services. Because websites are often the primary point of customer interaction, businesses increasingly evaluate them using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the internationally recognized standard for Digital Accessibility. Our role is to help Identify Accessibility Opportunities and Provide Recommendations and Solutions that support a Better user Experience and help Reduce Legal Risk.

Don’t take our word for it. Watch the news reports.

The Blind Spot
business owners have no idea their website is even subject to these rules —
until the letter arrives.
Why nobody sees it coming:
- There's no inspector, no warning, no renewal notice.
- Their site 'looks fine' on their own screen.
- Their web designer never mentioned accessibility.
- Nothing feels wrong — until a complaint lands in the inbox.
It's not just big brands anymore
Small and mid-sized businesses now make up the majority of defendants — and most have no idea they're exposed.
Of websites fail basic checks
Per the WebAIM Million Report, 2025 — most businesses are exposed and don't know it.
Of 2025 cases hit repeat targets
Nearly half of federal filings involved companies already sued once before.
Of lawsuits hit sites with a widget
Accessibility overlays and widgets don't stop lawsuits — real compliance does.

AI Just Poured Gas on the Fire
It used to take a law firm to build a case. Now a single person with an AI tool can scan thousands of websites a day, auto-flag violations, and generate complaints in minutes.
Automated scanning
Bots crawl the web flagging non-compliant sites faster than ever before.
Complaints at scale
AI drafts filings, so one plaintiff can pursue dozens of targets at once.
Volume is rising
Filings are projected to keep climbing as the tools get cheaper and easier.
The Demand-Letter Iceberg
Lawsuits are just the tip. For every case that reaches court, several private demand letters quietly pressure owners into paying a settlement — and they never show up in any public count.
lawsuits projected in 2026 — the visible tip
small business owners projected to write a check to attorneys just to make them “go away” in 2026 — the part below the surface
That's roughly 10 private demand letters for every single lawsuit that makes the news.
Deadlines Are Closing In
Regulators are tightening the rules
- Federal accessibility rules for public entities phase in through 2026–2027.
- Healthcare and other sectors face their own approaching web deadlines.
- Every new deadline gives plaintiff firms fresh ammunition to file.

“It Won't Happen to Me.”
Every owner who got a demand letter believed the exact same thing the day before it arrived. Here's why the comfort is false:
“My site is small.”
Small sites are the easiest, cheapest targets to file against in bulk.
“I use a website builder.”
Templates and plugins are routinely non-compliant out of the box.
“I'll have my web designer fix it.”
They don't have the software — or your site would already have it. It's highly specialized and costs several times more than web-building tools.
“No one has complained.”
The first 'complaint' usually is the demand letter.

FREE COMPLIANCE CHECK
Stop guessing. Scan your site right now.
Enter your address below. We will check your site against the same accessibility standards a plaintiff firm would, and show you exactly where you stand. No account, no card, no obligation.
The scan looks at what an assistive technology user actually hits on your site. It is the same starting point we use on every build.
Now for the good news.
Fixing this isn't just damage control. Accessibility quietly hands a business three things it actually wants — more customers, a tax break, and better Google rankings.
A Whole New Customer Base
An inaccessible site silently turns away millions of paying customers. Accessibility opens the door to people who literally could not use the business before.
New buyers, not new ad spend — they were always there.
Divide the U.S. population by that 61 million, and it's roughly 1 in 6 people — a full 16% of the market that businesses without compliance software have slammed the door on for years. Add compliance software and more people can actually use your website. More people using your website means more business.

The Tax Man Is On Your Side
The cost of improving your accessibility isn't just deductible — eligible small businesses can claim a federal tax credit for half of it. The government wants the internet usable by everyone, and it's willing to pay you to help.
Disabled Access Credit (IRS Section 44) covers half of eligible accessibility costs.
Maximum credit per year — a dollar-for-dollar cut in tax owed, not just a deduction.
The remaining cost is still an ordinary, deductible business expense on top.
Eligibility: small businesses with $1M or less in revenue or 30 or fewer full-time employees. Claimed on IRS Form 8826. Not tax advice — owners should confirm with their CPA.
Google Quietly Rewards It
The same things that make a site accessible also make it readable to search engines. Clean structure, descriptive text, and proper labels help screen readers and Google's crawlers alike.
More visibility on Google means more traffic — which means more customers, on top of the ones accessibility already unlocked.
Alt text & labels
Help blind users and tell Google what every image and link is about.
Clean structure
Proper headings make pages easier to navigate and easier to rank.
Better signals
Accessible sites tend to load and perform better — both ranking factors.

Before You Ask, We Answered
How long does this take?
Most ADA Only Protection Package installations are complete within 4 to 5 business days. Smart Website builds take about 14 business days and include up to 5 rounds of revisions.
What if I already have an overlay widget?
Overlay widgets alone don't stop lawsuits — in fact, a meaningful share of ADA lawsuits target sites that already have one installed. We evaluate what's already on your site and layer real compliance fixes on top, not just another patch.
My site is small — do I really need this?
Small sites are often the easiest, cheapest targets for plaintiff firms to file against in bulk. Size doesn't exempt a business from the ADA, and it doesn't make you less visible to automated scanning tools.
Is this a one-time fix or an ongoing subscription?
We'll walk you through the right option for your business and website during your consultation, including what's included and what stays protected over time.
Can't my web designer just handle this?
Most web designers don't carry specialized accessibility software or WCAG expertise — if they did, your site would likely already be compliant. It's a highly specialized fix, and typically costs several times more when built from scratch through a general web designer.
Is the tax credit real, or a gimmick?
It's real. Eligible small businesses (generally $1M or less in revenue, or 30 or fewer full-time employees) can claim the Disabled Access Credit under IRS Section 44, covering up to 50% of eligible costs, up to $5,000 per year, claimed on IRS Form 8826. We're not tax advisors, so confirm specifics with your CPA.
It's Not a Cost. It's an Upgrade.
Reduce risk

New customers
